We are passionate about teaching mindfulness to spread its benefits to all the community. We are registered through the British Association of Mindfulness Based Approaches (BAMBA) and love to continue to develop our own knowledge, practice and learning. We are trained mental health first aid champions, First Aid and Work qualified and DBS checked.

I borrowed a Mindfulness book from the library many years ago, and it took my breath away! I learned that there was a part of me, which could feel stronger and more at peace and in balance, as long as I practiced. I came to understand my anxieties better, have a fuller appreciation of life.

I undertook the mindfulness teacher training pathway with the Centre of Mindfulness Research and Practice at Bangor university. The teachers all had a genuineness, warmth about them, an ability to “not be anxious about imperfection”. I aspire towards those qualities as a teacher myself.

I am excited to be joining Liz and Andrew at tlcoc. We will be helping a lot more people to respond more skilfully to stress and anxiety, to find their own inner calm and ease.  It’s a nice surprise when you do!

A number of years ago, I encountered mindfulness through a poster entitled “Finding peace in a Frantic World”, as I dashed to yet another meeting!  I promised myself then that I would take this opportunity to find some peace in between work, my care responsibilities, and a busy social life.

I have never regretted that decision. I benefitted from Mindfulness so much and as a qualified teacher, and with the help of Joe and Andrew, I was able to follow UK Good Practice guidelines for mindfulness teachers. I have co-taught mindfulness-based programmes and extended and deepened my practice ever since.

I am now so pleased to be part of The Little Company of Calm, as I want everyone, no matter your background in life, to benefit from Mindfulness as much as I have. So come on, find some peace in your frantic world!

Co Founder & Director

I first became interested in mindfulness after reading Finding Peace in a Frantic World. I then attended a course based on this book and took my interest further by attending the Foundation Course in Mindfulness at Oxford University.

Initially I taught in a voluntary capacity, before going on to co-found a community interest company.

I have taught on a variety of Mindfulness courses including: Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Finding Peace in a Frantic World. I am committed to improving my teaching through continuous professional development and follow the UK good practice guidelines. I have a particular interest in Mindful Movement.

Together with Joe and Liz I am committed to further develop The Little Company of Calm as I believe that Mindfulness can have real impact on improving health and wellbeing.
